“I am a relative newcomer to Prince Edward County. As someone who is passionate about food, I am excited to be a part of the scene down here. I look forward to the prospect of working with the individuals who share my passion for food. I have tasted the local produce and now have a clear understanding of why, at one time, Prince Edward County was considered the garden of Canada. The quality of foodstuffs produced here is truly outstanding. I sense a renaissance happening in the County; the old agricultural economy based cheese makers and canning factories are being replaced by a new breed of culinary entrepreneurs and winemakers. These people recognize the inherent quality of the raw materials and have the insight and imagination to create something new and unique that will contribute greatly to our food culture.” |
